The poor Hydrangea bush
January 25th 2009

A few pictures taken as the Hydrangea bush was being removed

The troublesome Hydranga has got to go

We'll tie a rope on it and drag it out said Steve

Result - 1 broken rope

Right we'll try a proper rope this time said Pete

This is the machine to pull it out

Result one broken rope

After more digging the shortened rope was
tried again

Tony was getting rather worried!!

Actually he fell over in the mud, but we didn't laugh

Health & safety rules are strictly adhered to

Back to digging the bush out

Pete & James are now on a mission

You lift James and I'll chop it

Meanwhile other cleaning and
maintainance goes on

Steve is reconnecting the much shortened
rope ready for another try

The rope is now under strain, this time the
bush is definitley coming out

Result, another broken rope! This time we'll dig it out

Result!! the bush has finally conceded

Hail the conquering hero, master mariner Pete

I think James was pleased too
