The penultimate event of the 2004 season was the eagerly awaited annual Dinner & Prizegiving. Over 70 members and guests attended the Cliff Head Hotel to eat and be entertained by the band, "High Tide". This year, by popular demand, it was decided to make the event more formal than of late, with a request for men to wear dinner jackets and the Ladies evening dresses. The result was a dazzling array of gentlemen and ladies looking far different than when dressed in their normal sailing gear. The live band certainly provided a better atmosphere than the normal farye of disco, so much so that we were treated to a fantastic display of "dirty dancing" by Peter Pope & Theresa Phillips, both were seen to be in the centre of a circle where their cavorting and wiggling was greeted by rapturous applause from the onlookers. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera ready to record it for posterity. However, below are a selection of photographs taken over the evening, they are shown as thumbnail shots but any can be enlarged by clicking on them to download a larger version.
